Intercity services run from major towns and cities into Liverpool Lime Street Station. The journey time from London to Liverpool is just over 2.5 hours. Links are also available to other parts of Merseyside. The West Coast Main Line links England, Wales, Scotland and, via the Holyhead Dun Laoghaire sea crossing, Eire. The main trunk route operates from London Euston to Glasgow Central, with lines branching off to the West Midlands, Liverpool, Manchester and North Wales making Liverpool very accessible by most rail networks.
